Deleting your account

Document version 1.0 — 5 September 2026 · translation of the Turkish original

An account in SineO is needed for the watchlist only; the rest of the app works without one. If you never signed in, there is no account to delete — this page is for people who did.

1. From inside the app

This is the fastest way and it is the same on both platforms: Settings → Account → Delete account. After you confirm, the account and anything synced with it are removed.

For safety, Firebase can ask for a recent sign-in before deleting. If you see that notice, sign out and back in from the same screen, then delete again.

2. If you cannot reach the app

Lost the phone, or already removed the app? Ask by e-mail: mustafa@mustafaevleksiz.com. Put "SineO account deletion" in the subject and tell me the address you signed in with.

If you hid your address with Sign in with Apple, give the @privaterelay.appleid.com address you were issued — that is how I find the account. Requests are completed within 30 days, usually within a few, and I write back to the same address.

3. What is deleted

A deletion request removes all of this:

  • The account record: your user id and, if there is one, your e-mail address
  • Your sync record in the cloud: the identifiers of the titles on your watchlist, and the timestamps for adding, removing and reacting

Sync carries identity and time only — never a name, poster or rating — so there is no copy of those to delete.

4. What stays

The list on your phone stays where it is: deleting the account does not empty the app. If you want everything on the device gone as well, removing the app is enough — SineO keeps no other record off your device.

We hold no backup of our own. A deletion takes effect immediately; transient copies inside Google's infrastructure fall away on their own schedule.

5. Starting again

You can sign in again at any time after deleting. The new account starts empty: the deleted sync record does not come back.
